In April, we will read “Hereville. How Mirka got her Sword” by Barry Deutsch. Spunky, strong-willed eleven-year-old Mirka Herschberg isn’t interested in knitting lessons from her stepmother, or how-to-find-a-husband advice from her sister, or you-better-not warnings from her brother. There’s only one thing she does want: to fight dragons!
The first 9 participants to register will receive their own copy of the book to keep (limited to one book per household). Books are available for pickup now at Southwest Library unless you call to request it for pickup at another branch. This program will be in-person at the Northside library. If you are unable to participate in-person, there is a virtual Zoom meeting that will run simultaneously. You will receive the link to the Zoom meeting after registration.
For the health and safety of all, children ages 2+ and unvaccinated teens are strongly encouraged to wear masks during all KPL programs that take place indoors.
