Early Literacy and Flannelboard Stories: From the library and into your classroom!

Learn how to develop early literacy skills with the Five Early Literacy Practices, then see those skills in action with book talks, flannelboard stories, songs, rhymes, and classroom activities. Participants will make their own flannelboard stories to use in the classroom. Materials will be provided to make a flannelboard if needed. Participants will tour the library, browse our developmental learning collection, and check out materials. Library cards will be issued if needed. 

This is an in-person workshop at the Southwest branch of the Kenosha Public Library. Early childhood educators can earn 2 hours of continuning education with The Registry. This is a recurring workshop that will feature a new them each session. This month's theme is Pets.
