Graphic Novel Book Club

Primary tabs

Program Type: Book Club
Allowed Ages: 9 to 12
Registration for this event has closed.

In November, we are going to wrap up our year of graphic novels with an extra-special meeting. We will be reading “Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy” by Tui T. Sutherland. However, this month we will be reading the regular novel version. In our meeting, we will discuss how we would adapt the novel to a graphic novel. What events would make the cut? What type of art would we use? Think about all the different types of novels we read this year: how would you make the ultimate adaptation?

The first 9 participants to register will receive their own copy of the book to keep (limited to one book per household). Books are available for pickup now at Southwest Library unless you call to request it for pickup at another branch. Registration required.

This program will be hybrid. We will be meeting in-person at Northside, while meeting on Zoom simultaneously. Participants can choose which way they would like to attend the meeting. A Zoom link will be provided in the registration confirmation.

For the health and safety of all, children ages 2+ and unvaccinated teens are strongly encouraged to wear masks during all KPL programs that take place indoors.
