Start your day off right with an energizing yoga practice full of fresh air and sunshine! Our teen yoga class promotes body positivity, gratitude, and mindfulness. Beginners welcome! Instructor is a RYT-200, certified Kidding Around Yoga teacher, and KPL Youth Services Librarian. Class will be cancelled in case of inclement weather. Registration and a completed electronic waiver required. If under age 18, a parent/legal guardian must complete the electronic waiver. The waiver will be sent out in an email after registering.
Class will take place on the patio adjacent to the Simmons Library parking lot.
Important information to know before arriving for class:
-A parent/legal guardian must complete the Kid & Teen Yoga Permission Slip & Waiver form for each teen participating in class before class begins. If you are an 18-19 year old participant, you must still fill out the form before class begins, but you can sign for yourself. The form can be found in the confirmation email.
-Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage you to bring your own yoga mat. We will provide a yoga mat for those who do not have one. Our yoga mats will be disinfected between uses.
-This class will be held outdoors. Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather and consider bringing sunscreen and a water bottle. Class may be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
-A bathroom is available inside the Simmons Library. Due to its historic nature, the Simmons Library is not an ADA-compliant building.
-Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to get situated. Class starts promptly at 9:30am. Seats may be given to those on the waiting list if registrants are not present when class is set to begin.
Registration for yoga applies to only the program on this date. Please register for each program you would like to attend.
