KPL Family Night: Backyard Birds (for families with children, registration opens on 10/17 at 9:00am)

Registration for this box begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 17th.

Learn about the birds that live in your own backyard! Make a birdhouse and a pinecone bird feeder. Play bird-related games and create craft birds. Perform experiments and even learn to bird whistle with your hands!

Materials included: Build-Your-Own Birdhouse kit (1), Pinecone, String, Baggie of bird seed, Cardboard tubes (2), Yarn, Bird Memory game cards (24), Chopsticks (2 sets), Mini gummy worms (1 package), Bird Bingo sheets (4), Colored paper strips (4), Bird call how-to sheet, Paper bird templates

Materials not included: Markers, crayons, or colored pencils, Peanut butter (or other butter), Butter knife or spoon
Plate, Optional: Fan/hair dryer, glue, paint or watercolors, Extra optional: Wood glue, clear sealant

After you have successfully registered for a box:
Boxes must be picked up Saturday, October 24 - Tuesday, October 27 at the Southwest Library. Boxes that are not picked up by close on Tuesday, October 27th will be given to those on the waitlist.

Registrants wanting to pickup at Northside Library must call (262) 564-6150 or email hthompson@mykpl.info by 11:30pm on Wednesday, October 21st with that information. If a request is not received by that time, your box will be made available for pickup at Southwest Library by default.

This box is designed for a family of 4. We respectfully request that each box be limited to 2 per household.

Adult supervision while using KPL Kids To Go program boxes is requiredBoxes may contain choking hazards, skin irritants, or products that can be harmful if swallowed or used inappropriately. Boxes may also contain items that will stain or damage clothing and/or furniture. By requesting a KPL Family Night program box, you are agreeing that an adult will supervise the use of its contents, and that you will not hold the Kenosha Public Library or its staff
