KPL Kids To Go: Princess Labs, Frozen Science (ages 5-12, registration opens on 7/30 at 9:00am)

Registration for this box begins at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 30th.

You don’t have to be a princess to be a scientist in our princess lab! Have fun learning more about a variety of STEAM concepts with projects inspired by some of our favorite princesses and their friends. With this box, you will melt Elsa’s frozen hand, freeze a variety of sparkling treasures, make some snow, and build a snowman (of course).  

Materials included: Vinyl glove, White pipe cleaner, Doodads (stickers, gems, etc), Pipette, Craft stick, Bag of dry ingredients (includes ½ cup flour and ¼ cup salt), Iridescent glitter, “Will it Freeze on Top or Bottom?” lab sheet

Materials not included: Baking pan, Water, Freezer, Salt in shaker, Bowl, Spoon, ¾ teaspoon cooking oil, Plastic cup or covered container, Assorted tools that may help melt ice. Experiment with things like a paintbrush or toothbrush that will create friction.

After you have successfully registered for a box:
Boxes must be picked up Thursday, August 6 - Saturday, August 8 from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Southwest Library. Boxes not picked up by 5pm on Saturday, August 8 will be given to those on the waitlist. 

Registrants wanting to pickup at Northside Library must call (262) 564-6150 or email hthompson@mykpl.info by 11:30pm on August 4th with that information. If a request is not received by that time, your box will be made available for pickup at Southwest Library by default.

This box is designed for one child. We respectfully request that each box be limited to 2 per household.

Adult supervision while using KPL Kids To Go program boxes is requiredBoxes may contain choking hazards, skin irritants, or products that can be harmful if swallowed or used inappropriately. Boxes may also contain items that will stain or damage clothing and/or furniture. By requesting a KPL Kids To Go program box, you are agreeing that an adult will supervise the use of its contents, and that you will not hold the Kenosha Public Library or its staff liable for any injuries or damages that result from the contents of the box.
