Registration for this box begins at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 9th
Let’s get messy! Warning: These science experiments should be done outside if possible. Our kit includes materials to make sidewalk chalk paint, oobleck, and to do sun printing.
Materials included: 1 zip-top sandwich bag with 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1 bag with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 pieces of toilet paper, 1 colored tablet, 1 zip-top sandwich bag with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, 1 bag with 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 pieces of toilet paper, 1 colored tablet, 1 cup cornstarch, 2 pieces of light sensitive paper, 2 sheets of purple or blue construction paper,
Materials not included: ¾ cup vinegar, Food coloring, ¼ measuring cup), ½ cup water, ½ measuring cup, bowl, Small flowers,leaves and/or small toys or household items,
After you have successfully registered for a box:
Boxes must be picked up Thursday, July 16 - Saturday, July 18 from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Southwest Library. Boxes not picked up by 5pm on Saturday, July 18 will be given to those on the waitlist.
Registrants wanting to pickup at Northside Library must call (262) 564-6150 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by 11:30pm on July 14th with that information. If a request is not received by that time, your box will be made available for pickup at Southwest Library by default.
This box is designed for a family of 4. We respectfully request that each box be limited to 2 per household.
Adult supervision while using KPL Kids To Go program boxes is required. Boxes may contain choking hazards, skin irritants, or products that can be harmful if swallowed or used inappropriately. Boxes may also contain items that will stain or damage clothing and/or furniture. By requesting a KPL Kids To Go program box, you are agreeing that an adult will supervise the use of its contents, and that you will not hold the Kenosha Public Library or its staff liable for any injuries or damages that result from the contents of the box.
