KPL Kids To Go: Snakes in a Box (ages 5-12, registration opens on 7/2 at 9:00am)

Registration for this box begins at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 2nd.

Make some wildly wonderful slithering snakes out of clay, and other materials. Find out about some snakes that live in Wisconsin and why they are important to the environment.

Materials included: 2 snake finger puppets, 20 colored dots, 8 strips of colored paper to make 2 snake bodies (4 strips per snake), 2 sheets of paper to make 2 snake heads, 2 sets of eye stickers, 1 strip of red paper to make 2 snake tongues, 1 package of Magic Model Clay (*enough to make 2 snakes), 4 googly eyes for 2 snakes, 2 snake templates, 2 strings to make a leash for your snake, 2 sheets of green paper to make 2 snakes, 2 sets of eye stickers, 1 strip of red paper to make 2 snake tongues,

Materials not included: Scissors, Tape, Glue Stick, Markers, Plastic knife to make scales and add texture to snake, Paint (*optional to add more color),

After you have successfully registered for a box:
Boxes must be picked up Thursday, July 9 - Saturday, July 11 from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Southwest Library. Boxes not picked up by 5pm on Saturday, July 11 will be given to those on the waitlist. 

Registrants wanting to pickup at Northside Library must call (262) 564-6150 or email by 11:30pm on July 7th with that information. If a request is not received by that time, your box will be made available for pickup at Southwest Library by default.

This box is designed for one child. We respectfully request that each box be limited to 2 per household.

Adult supervision while using KPL Kids To Go program boxes is requiredBoxes may contain choking hazards, skin irritants, or products that can be harmful if swallowed or used inappropriately. Boxes may also contain items that will stain or damage clothing and/or furniture. By requesting a KPL Kids To Go program box, you are agreeing that an adult will supervise the use of its contents, and that you will not hold the Kenosha Public Library or its staff liable for any injuries or damages that result from the contents of the box.
