Village of Pleasant Prairie Municipal Code. Local ordinances are set by the Village and are enforced within the boundaries of the Village. When a new ordinance is created it goes before the Village Board. Once approved the Village Clerk posts the ordinance and sends it of to be codified, or indexed.

Wisconsin State Statutes. The legislative branch is one of three branches of government, along with the executive branch, and the judicial branch. The legislature passes laws, while the executive branch puts them into action, and the judicial branch makes sure that laws are constitutional and punishes people who break the law.
