Reliable Quality: Health Sources Online

Good and readable health information in the age of the internet is hard to come by. It can be written for doctors or just a means to scare you into scams. We’ve put together a list of free, quality health resources that you can trust.

MedlinePlus
MedlinePlus is the National Institutes of Health's website for patients, their families, and friends. It offers reliable, up-to-date health information anytime, anywhere, for free in both English and Spanish.
Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, it has understandable language for the everyday person.

Merck Manual
A product created by a collaboration between hundreds of medical experts worldwide, Merck Manual is designed to be user friendly. The website categories contains general health topics, symptoms, drug info and more. This resource is free and available in English and in Spanish.

Drugs.com
Don’t be fooled by the name. Drugs.com provides up-to-date medical information on drugs of all kinds. The editors are all registered pharmacists and review reliable suppliers and information from medical publishers.
You can find information on drugs and medications of all kinds as well as identify unknown pills using their Pill identifier.

Keep in mind that these resources do not replace speaking with a medical professional, and in emergencies, call emergency medical services (911) first.
