All KPL Locations Closed Until Further Notice

Primary tabs

As a precautionary measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Kenosha Public Library will close all locations from Monday, March 16, until further notice. This includes the Southwest, Northside, Simmons, and Uptown neighborhood libraries as well as the Bookmobile, Book Truck, and Outreach services. On date, we will re-evaluate the situation to determine if we need to extend the closure beyond date.

Due dates for all checked out materials have been extended until the Library re-opens. Bookdrops are closed and patrons do not need to return their materials by the scheduled due date. No late fees will be charged during our shut down. Patrons can disregard notices of overdue items from now until the library reopens. Patrons can still place holds on items, but will not be able to pick them up until the Library re-opens.

At this time, the Library has no reason to believe our staff or patrons have come into contact with Coronavirus. Like many other organizations and institutions, we are striving to do our part to help prevent the spread of this virus.
