Fleeing Artists Theatre opens a 5th season of Shakespeare in the Park with a production of "Medea" by Euripides, directed by Denise Johnson & Kenneth Montley. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic if you like, and enjoy some drama under the wide open sky.
Medea is a revenge thriller, and also one of humanity's oldest feminist stories. Medea begins the play enraged. She has been betrayed by her husband Jason, who agreed to marry the King's young daughter despite the fact that Jason and Medea are married with two children.
Featuring a whole Chorus of strong Women, this play is relevant now more than ever for its subject matter.
Presented in partnership with the Kenosha Parks Alliance.
