Call-In Book Club

2nd Tuesdays, 2pm

If you have a hard time getting out of the house, but still want to talk about books, try this unique book club!  Just like an old-time party line or modern conference call, you just call the special phone number, and we all can hear each other!  This is a program of Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services (KAFASI), with the  discussion led by a Kenosha Public Library librarian.  Please call KAFASI at 658-3508, ext. 110 or 118 to register and get the phone number to call on the day of the discussion.

Social Justice Book Club

Northside, 3rd Tuesday, 6:30pm

We meet to explore books about race, gender, immigration, poverty, and criminal justice issues. It is intended to give readers the opportunity to explore current social issues more deeply. The book club meets the third Tuesday every month from 6:30-8pm at the Northside Library to discuss the chosen book. For each month's title, see the KPL online calendar, or contact librarian Kristin Kornkven at (262) 564-6107 or kkornkven@mykpl.info.

Classic Novels Book Club

Northside, 4th Wednesdays, 3:30pm

What defines a classic novel? Is it time, quality, or that indefinable something that makes us want to read a book over and over? Read something you consider classic and we'll discuss what makes a book special and which ones to add to our bucket lists. Led by Cathy Polovina.

Graphic Novel Book Club

Southwest, 1st Mondays, 6pm

Come discuss your favorite graphic novels or manga. Talk with the group about artists, writers, or whatever else you like about sequential art.  No registration, no specific books to read.

Afternoon Coffee Break Book Club

Northside, 3rd Wednesdays, 2pm

Take an afternoon literary break and join us at our monthly book club. We read bestselling novels, engage in thoughtful discussion, and enjoy refreshments, too! For a copy of this month’s selection, call or email Donna at 564-6137 or diveskimpel@mykpl.info.

Politics and Military Actions Book Club

Southwest, 1st Saturday, 9AM

Join us for Kenosha Public Library's book club designed for those interested in politics, political leaders, and military actions. We read books about topics selected by our club members and discuss them the next meeting. We talk about the past, the future, morality, leadership, values, and anything relevant to our topic. We have so much to discuss!

Southwest, 3rd Monday, 6 pm

The first rule of Book Club is: tell everyone about Book Club! We meet once a month to talk about an edgy contemporary novel that is slightly off the beaten path. To find out what book we are reading and get a copy, please email Emily at ekastelic@mykpl.info or call 564-6130.
