January is Poverty Awareness Month

January 2, 2021 at 2:17 PM by Jake Bowen

January is “Poverty in America Awareness Month.” 2020 has been a very challenging year for many people in our community who are experiencing poverty at a rate higher than the national average. So, through the end of January, visit any of our Kenosha Public Library branches to learn more about poverty in America and in our community. The following resources for kids will be available:

Book Display - Look for displays in each of the Youth Service Areas of our branches that feature fiction and nonfiction titles about Poverty in America.

Poverty in Our Community Display - Read some facts about people experiencing poverty in our community.
