2019 Scary Story Contest: Ghost Towns - Winners Have Been Contacted

Our annual scary story contest is back! 3rd-12th graders, here's your chance to write an original story that incorporates the theme: Ghost Towns

Entries can be returned to any KPL location and must be received by 9 PM on Thursday, October 31st. 

Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, quality of writing, adherence to contest rules, and scariness. 

Your short story should be about 500 words long and typed, if possible. If you like, you may illustrate your story.

Your story MUST be your own, original work, and it MUST incorporate the theme. Stories that do not follow the theme will be disqualified. Language must be library appropriate.
