The Power of Your Library Card

September is Library Card Sign-up Month and Kenosha Public Library is joining with libraries across the nation to celebrate!

The Kenosha Public Library's over 79,000 cardholders check out nearly 1 million items from our collection annually. Cardholders have access to nearly 300,000 physical items, including books, audiobooks, e-books, Blu Rays, DVDs, video games, board games, 360 cameras, CDs, magazines, newspapers and more. KPL cardholders also have access to the full SHARE catalog which contains nearly 2 million physical items to choose from.

Your KPL library card also provides access to Pronunciator where you can learn 80 languages online, Lynda.com where you can choose from over 3,500 different online courses taught by professional instructors and digital tools to help with genealogy and ancestry research.  You can download free music from Freegal, flip through magazines with RB Digital, and stream movies, read ebooks or listen to audiobooks or music with OverDrive or Hoopla! Or maybe you're looking to binge-watch Game of Thrones or try a new board game for game night? Your KPL library card has you covered for that. Your library card also lets you renew and reserve items 24 hours a day online.

That little card can sure do a lot! What's your favorite thing your library card does for you? Join us on our Facebook and share all the ways you use your library card by using the hashtag #mykplcard.
