Academic Search Premier – A core resource of scholarly information. It contains full text for more than 2,000 journals, including more than 1,550 peer-reviewed titles. This multi-disciplinary database covers virtually every area of academic study. More than 140 journals have PDF images back to 1985.
 
Access Newspaper Archive – For searching and reading historical newspapers online. This contains tens of millions of searchable newspaper pages, dating as far back as the 1700s. Use the archive to view, save and print full-page newspapers from around the world.
 
Ancestry, Library Edition – A continually growing online database about family history and U.S. federal and U.K. census information with images of the actual census schedules. Can only be used in the Library (limited to two simultaneous users).
 
Auto Repair Reference Center – Contains complete automotive repair manuals as published by Chilton. It also includes more than 150 easy-to-read, illustrated auto repair manuals on auto repair procedures for more than 21,000 vehicles; more than 56,000 Technical Service Bulletins from 1987 to the present; wiring diagrams; labor times and estimates for various repairs.
 
Books In Print (Patron edition) – Lists books currently in print, about to be published and recently out of print. Includes publisher information and reviews.
 
Business Source Premier – Provides full text for nearly 1,100 business publications, including full text for nearly 500 peer-reviewed business publications, giving information dating back to 1985.
 
ChiltonLibrary.com – Experienced mechanics, do-it-yourselfers and students in the automotive trades now have a 24-hour, on-call “mechanic” to provide information on numerous automobile makes, including Ford, Chrysler, General Motors, Honda and Toyota.
 
Consumer Reports – 1,000+ Ratings, reviews, expert buying advice, product comparisons, consumer user reviews, and product video clips. This award winning website contains information that enables consumers to make better purchasing desicions on the products they are shopping for.
 
EBSCO Animals – Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.
 
EBSCOhost – Lists the various services provided by EBSCOhost, such as the Student Research Center and Novelist as well as subject databases such as research and business.
 
EBSCOhost Espanol – Instructions and labels are here given in Spanish for the EBSCOhost databases. 
 
EBSCOhost Web – Lists the various EBSCOhost magazine databases in alphabetical order. A source for magazine articles, many in full text and PDF format. 
 
ERIC - The Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC) contains more than 1,243,000 records and links to more than 224,000 full-text documents. (Ebsco)
 
Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia – Provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
 
GreenFILE – Offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,700 records.
 
Health Source: Consumer Edition  Provides information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health and allows access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines. 
 
Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition – Provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. It also features the Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names. 
 
HeritageQuest Online – Online database, of expanding collections, that contains searchable images and corresponding indexes of the U.S. Federal Census records, searchable digitized books of family and local histories, genealogical and local history serials, and primary sources (such as directories, biographies, documentary collections, and military records). May be used within the KPL agencies and from home (with a library card).
 
Issues and Controversies (Facts on File) – In depth investigations of today’s issues presenting arguments on both sides.
 
Kids Search – an elementary school version of the magazine database EBSCOhost.
 
LearningExpress – offers instantly scored licensing, certification, and aptitude practice tests, online career preparation, and vital information for a wide variety of occupations. Available to the public within the KPL buildings or from your home computer with a valid KCLS card
 
Lexi-PALS Drug Guide – Patient Advisory Leaflets from Lexi-Comp that provides vital education on medications for patients. The database consists of over 1,450 medication and natural product leaflets, with an additional 600 Spanish language leaflets.
 
LitFinder – Searchable access to more than 135,000 full-text poems, stories, plays.
 
MAS Ultra: High School Edition – Designed specifically for high school libraries, this database contains full text for more than 500 popular, high school magazines. It also provides more than 360 full text reference books, 85,670 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 341,655 photos, maps & flags, color PDFs and expanded full text backfiles (back to 1975) for key magazines.
 
MasterFILE Premier – Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,750 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, it also includes nearly 500 full text reference books, full text from 86,017 biographies, 105,786 full text primary source documents, and an image collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags.
 
MEDLINE – Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.
 
Middle Search Plus – Provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. It also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and an image collection of 341,655 photos, maps and flags.
 
Military and Government Collection – Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government, this database offers a thorough collection of periodicals, academic journals, and other content pertinent to the increasing needs of those sites. It provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 300 journals and periodicals and indexing and abstracts for nearly 400 titles. 
 
EBSCOhost eBooks – Provides access to our e-book collection, listed in the catalog as an “electronic book”. These are free digital versions of books to read online, some of which can be downloaded. You can access them 24 hours a days, seven days a week.
 
Newspaper Source – Provides cover-to-cover full text for 35 national & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 375 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.
 
NoveList – An aid in finding books and authors that are similar to your favorites. Includes award lists and book discussion guides. 
 
Overdrive – Download audio books, videos and music for your computer or remote devices. This requires a Library Card password.
 
Powerspeak Languages – Learn Spanish, English for Spanish-speakers, French, German and Mandarin Chinese. The courses use a variety of multi-sensory activities to take full advantage of the brain’s ability to acquire language. Designed specifically for use by the diverse audience of library users, the courses include a combination of scored online activities, exercises, lessons and games.

Reference USA – The premier source for business and residential information for reference and research.
 
Regional Business News – This database provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. It incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. This database is updated on a daily basis.
 
Searchasaurus  – Makes it easy for students to search by keyword or by topic to find the most useful search results.
 
Student Research Center – Powered by EBSCOHost, this is tailored for student use with easy selection of resource type, canned topic searches, selection for grade level, a dictionary (American Heritage), an encyclopedia (Columbia) and aids for searching and citing sources.
 
TeachingBooks – (via BadgerLink); A portal to online resources for exploring children's and young adult books, both fiction and non-fiction, and their authors. Includes multimedia resources such as audio book readings and short videos about authors and illustrators.
 
TumbleBook Library – Ebooks for kids.
 
Value Line – Investment ratings and comprehensive information and advice on approximately 1,700 stocks in 98 industries, the stock market, and the economy.
 
World News Digest (Facts on File) - World news from 1940 to the present. Includes a section for science news and current issues and controversies.
