How do I Use a Computer Workstation?
What is available on public access workstations?
  • Kenosha Katalog – Search for books, CDs, DVDs using the new web based catalog
  • Electronic Resources – Search for magazine and newspaper articles, car repair information, plus much more
  • Internet Access – Search the Internet or use our free WiFi
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
To provide free and equal access for all KPL patrons, the library has installed software known as "Envisionware” on many public access workstations to manage user time limits. The length of time a computer is available varies but most computers allow two (2) hours of use per day.

All users must have a valid KCLS library card and a password to sign on to a computer. Passwords can be issued at the circulation desk. All computers are available on a first -come, first-served basis. KPL staff cannot hold computers for you, nor can we reserve a computer. All users must comply with our Internet Policy and Rules of Conduct.

Laptops are available for checkout at the Southwest Library with a valid KCLS library card. The Dell laptops connect to the free WiFi connection and are equipped with Microsoft Office Suite. There is a two (2) hour time limit for laptop use per day.
