African American Mosaic - A good way to access the collection of documents at Library of Congress pertaining to black history. The site is divided into four categories: Colonization, Abolition, Migration and the WPA.
 
African-American Odyssey - Part of the Library of Congress (LOC) "American Memory" project, this site provides a look at original documents that are in the LOC collection. It includes papers of Frederick Douglass, items connected to Jackie Robinson, slave narratives and an African-American pamphlet collection.
 
African Americans in the Sciences (The Faces of Science) - Features African-Americans who have contributed to the advancement of science, mathematics or engineering. Includes biographies and extensive bibliographies.
 
Black History Hotlist - Links to resources from all over the Internet. Some are provided by companies like CNN Interactive while others are the products of university scholars or amateurs.
 
Black History Month Resource Center - Provides not only historical information, but also biographies, educational activities, and quizzes. Includes a timeline, literature section, and annotated links to other sites.

Martin Luther King Papers Project - The King Papers Project is a major research effort to assemble and disseminate historical information concerning Martin Luther King, Jr. and the social movements in which he participated. Located at Stanford University.
